Background: Exodontia is the process of removing a tooth from its socket within the alveolar bone. Pain, bleeding, and non-healing are common complications associated with exodontias. Objectives: To compare bleeding time, pain, and healing after dental extraction using Ferrum Phosphoricum (FP) and a sterile gauze pack (SGP).Material and Methods: This randomized controlled trial included 236 patients selected through consecutive sampling. Medically healthy individuals aged 15 to 60 were included while unwilling participants, those with medical complications, substance abuse history, fractures, or pregnancy were excluded. Patient data, including age, gender, and intervention details, were documented. Participants were randomly divided into two groups: FP tablets and pressure pack. Hemostasis achievement time, healing, and pain were recorded for both groups. Chi-square and Student t-tests were employed for comparisons. Results: The SGP group had a longer bleeding time (6.09±1.41 min) than the FP group (2.37±0.95 min) (p<0.001). Abnormal bleeding was observed in 55.9% of the SGP group but not in the FP group (p<0.001). Regarding pain scores, on Day 3 and Day 7 post-operation, the FP group reported significantly lower pain scores than the SGP group (p<0.001). However, by Day 14, both groups had no reported pain (0.0±0.0). Moderate and severe pain were more prevalent in the SGP group than in the FP group on Day 3 and Day 7, with statistically significant differences (p<0.001). The healing score was significantly lower in the FP compared to the Gauze pack group on Day 3, 7, and 14 (p<0.001).Conclusion: Ferrum Phosphoricum is superior in controlling post-extraction bleeding, pain management, and wound healing compared to a sterile gauze pack. Keywords: Bleeding, Dental Extraction, Hemorrhage, Socket, Sterile.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the stability, potency, and efficacy of Ferrum phosphoricum 6X using ultraviolet (UV)-visible spectrophotometry, by detecting the presence of particles and determining the maximum absorbance wavelength (λmax) in comparison with distilled water. Material and Methods: UV-visible spectrophotometric analysis was conducted for Ferrum phosphoricum 6X and distilled water across a wavelength range of 300–800 nm. Absorbance spectra were recorded to identify significant peaks and to confirm the presence of particulate matter. Results: The analysis revealed a distinct absorbance peak at 600 nm for Ferrum phosphoricum 6X, indicating the presence of particulate matter within the sample. In contrast, distilled water showed no such peak within the same range. Conclusion: The findings demonstrate that UV-visible spectrophotometry is a powerful and effective tool for validating the stability and potency of homoeopathic remedies such as Ferrum phosphoricum 6X. This approach supports quality control and assures therapeutic reliability in homoeopathic formulations.

Background: The immune system is vital for defending the body against infections and preserving general health. This study explores the impact of Ferrum Phosphoricum, a homoeopathic remedy, on the immune system. Ferrum Phosphoricum, also known as Iron Phosphate, is recognized for its potential immunomodulatory properties, and this research aims to shed light on its effects on immune system. Objectives: The aim of the research is to determine the immunomodulatory impact of Ferrum phosphoricum in mice under both normal and immunosuppressive conditions. Methodology: Humoral antibody titer and delayed-type hypersensitivity assays, using sheep red blood cells as a foreign antigen, were utilized to assess the immunomodulatory efficacy of Ferrum phosphoricum at 6C, 30C, and 200C in BALB/c mice. The effect of Ferrum phosphoricum in immune-compromised BALB/c mice was explored in cyclophosphamide induced immunosuppressive model by evaluating hematology, organ index, phagocytic index, histopathology, cytokine profile and mRNA expression of the cytokines in spleen. Results: Humoral immunity (primary and secondary antibody titre) was enhanced by Ferrum phosphoricum-200C. Additionally, Ferrum phosphoricum improved the immunosuppressive parameters (spleen index, phagocytic index, and cytokine levels), demonstrating beneficial effect immunocompromised mice. Conclusion: Conclusively, research contribute valuable insights into the understanding of Ferrum phosphoricum's role in enhancing immune responses and may suggest a path for the development of novel therapeutic approaches. The integration of traditional medicine, such as homoeopathy, with modern immunology may pave the way for innovative and effective strategies to boost immunity and improve overall health.
